Yomari is made up of rice flour and consist of Chaku or Khuwa. It is a delicacy of the Newar community. It is like a dumpling or a rice pocket with sweet Chaku or Khuwa and is steamed.
In Newar community , Yomari play very important role. There is also a festival for Yomari called 'Yomari Punhi', in which Yomaris are specially made.
But as the culture is changing, now-a-days yomari making is very common. We don't have to with for yomari punhi for enjoying the wonderful taste of Yomari. You can always visit Nandini Food Court and enjoy the authentic taste of Yomari.
